  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

whats in your glovebox?

Not much in my glove box. Leatherman core or kick, or one of them. Got it at KMart a while back and threw it in the glove box. (Was on sale) I also have a couple cheapo knives for people at work.

Owner's manual and paperwork for my truck, some of those laminated folding maps for this and neighboring states, an Actron diagnostic code reader with the accompanying book, spare tail and tag light bulbs, tire pressure gauge, anti-bacterial wipes, and a trauma dressing.

I've got a center console, storage space under a rear seat, and a "BOB" that's mostly for gear I use at work, along with some basic mishap management stuff.
Before I took the toolbox off, I could literally build or demolish a house with all the crap I carried around with me.

Owners manual [400 pages !!] for the F-150 takes up most of the box.But the important things are auto-center punch and Benchmade seat belt cutter.Bed of the truck holds much more stuff.
The story seems to have disappeared but the three college students in ND who drowned when their vehicle went into a pond seems to be significant . AFAIK they couldn't get out of the vehicle as the windows wouldn't open. One more of many such incidents !! Of all the safety stuff on a car they still don't offer some type of override to open windows !

HA! I never thought of this until just now... I don't think I've ever put gloves in my glove box. Not even once.

Papers, matches, knives, flashlights, food, napkins, tire gauges, pens/pencils, & all kinds of other junk, but no gloves.

(Seriously. I just had some kind of epiphany moment. It honestly never even occurred to me. How sad is that?!?)

It got the name "glove box" from the very first cars. On a cool morning, screaming along at 25 or 30 MPH,:) the wind chill would get to your hands on that old pure iron steering wheel. They added a glove box.
It's a great place to stash a pint of liquor as well.
