Good advice from stjones, consider a Swamp Rat. The RatManDeux LE is about $200.

I've seen desert storm fighters go for as low as 225$. One sat for 250 for a bit and then was dropped. I'd say that is probably your best bet. It's not a gaurenteed buy at all, you will have to constantly watch the forums and probably make a lot of offers that people will consider totally low ball, but they have sold for that low before.

If it was a cheaper piece of INFI it wouldn't be what he paid for the 6. He most definitely is spoiled as far as first Busses go though, but I think he made the best move. As pointed out, he wouldn't have found a knife that size for under $300. So, at that point you might as well get a new satin knife for another $90 instead of a used Sarsquatch for $300+. I (and him) am of the mindset that you buy the best you can the first time. If he bought a used squatch, he wouldn't need another knife.

Right. That's what I was hoping to hear initially. Knives that could be that cheap if you watched the exchange.

The upper guard on the RMDx blew it for me. It will never make an all around use knife as long as you're wrestling your thumb around an upper guard.

Yeah, really? I'm not the one with questionable practices who consistently gets called out by members and other dealers alike... you are. So please. I fail to see the point? Perhaps you have another NMSFNO LE that is "lightly buffed" that you'd like to sell me for more than what most list when pristine?
