Congrats on the beautiful daughter, enjoy her while she's young, mine just turned 19 and is still the greatest thingI ever had a hand in creating, I still can't believe I had a hand in her existence sometimes.

How about Eve or April or even my daughters name Kathleen, Elizabeth.
 
I see you are from Quebec, my Acadian grandmother just turned 99 on April fools day, so in her honour I suggest Catherine.

It's not Italian but I have allways liked the name Desiree (pronounced DEZ-a-ray). Congrats on the baby girl.
 
if it hasn't been said, Amelia (Molly for short). I love this name, not only because I went to high school with quite possibly the most beautiful girl on earth and her name was Amelia.

Was the child born on sunday, maybe Easter? which is really based off of a Druid holiday for spring equinox and fertility.

Well, she came home on Tuesday...and gets a name on Wednesday...Sunday is better...Sunny DiLillo has an edge to it.
