Heres a few of my newer tools.
I just got a Swinkles sheath for my Bravo1!!! Man, its awesome, Martin does some great work!
Hultafors, man..what a work horse knife..I much prefer it to my Moras..
HudsonBay from Bark River...all I can say is WOW..I cant wait to use it..feels like a great camp knife..I can say that it excells at food prep, now all I have to do is test its chopping power.
Kizylar fixed blade..stainless, but man this knife took a fantastic edge, and seems to be tempered very well..I am really liking this knife also.
Great sheath, pouch style with a snap over the butt, great retention.

Wowza man! Great haul of stuff, some very pretty steel in there. I need to try out one of those hultafors sometime.

Is that a fallkniven Idun on top in the first pic? Those have appealed to me for quite some time.

Yup! IDUN...not the greatest knife in the world..but I bet it is in second place...I have a few "favorites" but that one makes it into the never, never part with pile!!!

Forgot to ask, too: where'd you find the hultafors?

What limitations/dislikes have you found with the idun?

WOW - great looking knives and those sheaths are absolutely stunning.

Man I really love those Swinkel Sheaths bro! I have been wanting one for awhile and when I got to handle yours at the gathering it was great. I just wish I wasn't broke.

Great haul over all Gene, the Hudson Bay is a cool Camp Knife!

That Kislar looks great as well!

those are some great looking sheaths... martin does some top notch work...

I got it in trade from a good buddy here on the forums..I didnt take a spine shot, but the blade is SOLID, 1/8 thick and rigid...The blade is as good as any puukko that I own..which has me thinking about a rehandle??
The IDUN has NO LIMITATIONS...just kidding, no really..its a great blade. I like the blade shape and grind. The handle, although thinner than I usually like, is pretty good..the gaurd is very small, I dont even notice it really. Add the swinkles sheath, and its a great setup. I find the flat grind with the convex edge carves really well for me.

good looking knives Gene

Looking forward to testing photos..

Always love your photos!!!!

Right on Gene!! Great to see another Martin Swinkels Bravo-1 sheath out there! The belt loops on your B-1 sheath look superb!

Do you have any more pics of your Idun?

Thats a really nice collection of knives and they blend very well with the leather!

Gene,
That is a very impressive collection of quality steel and leather.
I hope that you will post action picts when you get them.
Hope they bring you lots of fun and smiles.

Nice bunch of tools there Gene, you have some serious fun..er...testing to do. I have found the Idun to be exactly as you described...I keep thinking about a rehandling project to bring out the best of that knife.

I had an IDUN and it was my favorite blade. It was a tank and felt great in hand. Only complaint out of the box was the leather was slick. I sanded the leather lightly, soaked it in water for 5 minutes then put some leather conditioner on to soak in. Perfect! Felt like the leather on a RosArms after that, soft and grippy.
The IDUN throws sparks off a firesteel really well. The blade IMO is perfect for a combo of bushcraft and light batoning. It's much taller than the F1 but not so much that it handicaps it.
The handle is round and the guard is small and comfy. I'd like to see a little shaping of the handle by Fallkniven in future versions but all in all.... it' was one of the blades I grabbed without thinking when going camping. Still watching for another one.

Looking forward to a review of the Barkie, as a fan of bigger blades i've been waiting to see how that one performs.
