I don't believe you guys! What are you gonna do with your money? Pay rent/mortgage? Put food on the table? Send the kids to college? Come on. You better get you priorities straight. :D

I ordered the small bone sodbuster from Moore Maker and was disappointed. A weak backspring, with nowhere near the snap of a Case or Kissing Crane brown mule sodbuster. Maybe I just got a bad one.

Sorry to hear that, Johnny11758. I know it would be a hassle but maybe Moore Maker would do a swap. Mine is not too bad at all, but like you said, it is not as strong as my Case or Queen.

Coincidence! I just picked up my order from MM also! A small bone, and a small delrin. The bone one definitely has less snap, but it's in the acceptable range, IMO. The blade feels firm in the using position. Snap opening is better than closing, which is good on a bone handled knife. It hasn't happened to me, but I've heard of stressed handles (which occurs when the rivet is too tight, or the bone warps slightly) cracking from continuously slamming shut. The delrin one is very snappy, and compares to my Case. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

Thomason It has been a while since we met but anyway i took your advice I put my order in for the moore maker yellow delrin sodbuster. By the way I also practice your slipjoint fast deployment trick everyday, dont seem to be making much progress though, maybe I will have more luck with the moore maker. (this is a joke). They have some beauties on that site dont they, How bout that lockback two blader? Looks like a Scagel. Sheeze wish I had more bread.

They're pricier, sure, but the gents at Moore Maker are really pleasant to talk to, and I'm willing to pay a premium to support small businessmen. Then too, when I got their buffalo punch blade slipjoint and decided it wasn't for me, they were happy to switch it out for a moose pattern. I love their version of the moose pattern, it's a great size and really easy to carry.

I'm planning to email them and ask if they've considered carrying the canoe or gunboat canoe patterns, since those are my favorite carrying knives of all.

I just recieved a pair of the Moore Maker sod buster jr. One in the delrin and one in bone. I'm very pleased with them. Fit and finish are both very good and I love the color of the bone. I have 6 sod buster jrs' now. Two Moore Maker, two Queed, one Case in CV and one Kissing Crane.
