What's next for EDC Knives?

What do you guys think (or perhaps know) Busse will roll out next for their EDC series of knives?

Personally, I would REALLY like to see them roll out something with 1-2" blade with a talonhole and a 3-4" handle. I think it would look sweet with a jungle green blade finish and matte black G-10 handle scales. The only question is wether or not to put serrations on it. I guess that would be up to preference. Anyways, I would also like to see a horizontal carry, outside-the-waistband, kydex sheath for it. The only thing left to do would be to come up with a name for it and submit the idea to Busse.

What do you guys think of my idea and how would you change it?

Also, what do you guys tink of the serrations on Busse knives?

TTAWR!

I think a knife with a 1-2 inch blade needs to be satin finish for better slicing and cutting.

As for the serrations, maybe on the spine. Have a slicing edge on one side and have serrations running the length of the spine.

But a small, new style, cultellus wouldn't be a bad idea. Kinda like a Barkie micro Canadian but with Busse's nastiness would be SWEET!

Keep your eyes peeled for a GW on the XC and SAR3's being released from the Company Store. Those'd be your best bets. Most GW's aren't going for much more than original asking price.

A don't think a one or two inch Busse will ever happen. And don't think it would sell if it was made.

I also don't like serrations on any knife, but thats just my opinion.

The Assault Shaker sold like hotcakes, and they dont seem to last long on the exchange either. I still carry mine more often than any other knife I have, aside from the Old Timer stockman that is. :D I've always wanted a Pepper Shaker as well.

The tease a few years back on the Anorexic AS did raise some chatter.

Ohhh, I had forgot about those! And I was wanting one for a neck knife....I guess the idea got scrapped:confused:

BTW- how long was the blade of the AS ?

Was thinking it was a tad over 2", but I've never had one, and never really though much about it.

According to bussecollector.com, they were 2.5

I personally wouldn't want to see Busse waste (IMO) their time on a 1-2" blade. Especially not with a 3 or 4" handle. That doesn't seem much more concealable than a SAR3 and doesn't seem like it would take advantage of INFI's benefits to warrant the price over a box cutter or Atwood tool.

Thanks! I guess I could have looked there, lol.
I knew that leatherman didn't know what he was talking about!

You know I'm kiddin Dwayne:p

What about the HACK series. Those are pretty small blades.

Never had one of those either, but they don't look to have a 3" to 4" handle like the OP is wanting. But have no idea really.

Edit- Dennis, your right, the Hack Cub may fall in his catagory. HC has it at 5.5" OAL, so that should(but not sure) be a tad over 3" on handle, and a tad over 2" on the blade.

a practical Wharnie sure would be sweet...

I have been hoping for a smaller Sus Scrofa for a while. I ended up having to just modify one to get the size I wanted. Bring on the small wharnie!!!!

The Hack on my belt right now has about 2.75" of blade and the same of handle. Only 2.5" of the blade is sharpened. It is close to the OP's request though, and an excellent EDC knife as well.

Muk with the EDC handle (same as the AD) is a sure bet. ;) There was a lot of talk of an Anorexic Assault Shaker once upon a time that never materialized too.

Whatever happened to the 3 knives, one in each size range at all times?
