Whats NEXT From Chris Reeve Knives ???

WHAT!!?!!??

:confused::(:grumpy:

.

The CRK Hollow Handle One-Pieces Knives are no longer going to be made after this year. Its definately an end to an era in knifemaking as we know it ! CRK hollow handle survival knives are definately the toughest of that style of knife and will be sorely missed.

I would like to see some more fixed blade options. I don't see why the S. African connection retiring has to mean the end of the fixed blades.

Chris if you need someone to keep your fixed blade line going I am available!

I'm all for a small 'Zaan. And also more handle/scale options for the 'Zaan line: Inlays/on lays, lazer etching, etc.

A multi-tool would seriously rock but wouldn't it ring in at around $1,000-1,200? I seriously don't see him doing this though.

One possibility could be a lower cost, more accessible blade; kinda like Darrell Ralph is working on with the Maxx-Q. That could be cool - A Reeve for the masses! With technology zipping along as it is, a high quality, affordable (~$200) folder is possible. Just ask Mr. Ralph.

I would be interested in :

- Scout like model
- 8" and more camp knife
- another folder........whatever the size.

....but in the end I'm affraid, I'll have to turn myself into Busse & others to find what I want. Wait and see.

I'd love to start seeing some varieties of the Umnum, like micarta inlays. Not sure it's likely to happen any time soon, though...

I would love to see this too. Any other type of inlay would not work in my opinion.

We have the Sebenza large and small, the Mnandi and the Umnumzaan. I was not aware that the Umfaan was coming back. That's five different sizes of folders available to the public. While I'd like to see a Sebenza with a 4" blade, I have heard that Chris stated to just get one of the one piece models.

Other than folders, I'd like to see some bushcraft/camping based full tang fixed models. I loved the Green Beret I had, but would like to see CRK's take on the whole bushcraft craze.

While I think it is impossible, I would like to see a CRK slipjoint style piece. The Mnandi is CRK's answer to a dressy folder. The Mnandi a little bit bigger would be nice too, only because I have huge paws.

I would like to see some special edition folders with BG42.

Umfaan is coming back? Is that from a trusted source?

Umfaan vs mnandi.

Since the one piece is going away I'd like to see some dedicated camping/hiking knives. Yes, the Green Beret, Pacific, Neil Robers, and Pro Soldier can all be used in the woods (and have been by many members on here), but they're still designed as "fighting/combat" knives. I'd like to see some pure outdoor style knives, no serrations, made for going out in the woods. Everything from a 3" EDC for day hikes, the 5-6" mid size, and the 9" chopper.

Corwise:

YES, I would LOVE to see a EDC sized fixed blade with a real handle
