Can I apply for a partial refund or discount, then? That's a good bit under what the Swamp charged me last year.
The AK47 is what first brought Busse under my radar...I might HAVE to be in on this one, even if I have to sell a Waki to do it (pfffft - crazy talk, that is)
 
I just pre-ordered my AK - Green & black G10 on tanker grey.
I might have to celebrate Christmas this year.

Don't tell her now! You've got plenty of time before the billing comes. Just make sure she's happy until then - especially on Christmas.

FWIW, that $390 price Jerry mentioned is the base price that the CG Waki was originally listed at when it first came out. Keep in mind G10 is in addition to that ($75 iirc), satin finish is even more, and a custom shop job will also be more. The black-coated one with orange/green G10 from the 2105 BladeShowGanzaaa was $450, to put it into perspective.
 
Yeah - but those were bad colors, lol - they had to knock a little off the price. I have a good handle on the "current" pricing of the Waki (I still have the email with base price, satin price, and G10 cost).
I don't know how good a deal they're going to make of the AK; but if it's as good as you're expecting, I might have to buy two.
 
If you split the difference betweeen the Waki and AK prices Jerry posted, you end up at $518. I would think that the BGAK would come in closer to the price of the Waki being that it's SR-101. Also, if the pricing differential between BG offerings and regular INFI offerings continues to hold, I really think we could see these around $450, or a little less is Jerry is feeling the Christmas spirit. ;) Crossing fingers, toes, etc. :D

I go from "nope, gonna pass on this one," to "well, lets see the price... I hope it's justifiable," to "damn it all, I really want one, g10 handles is a must!," to "nope, gonna pass..." So divided about this... it would be fun at out dojo, cutting mats, but I think part of me is holding out for some epic variant of a Battle Mistress or something like that (big, thick chopper)... OK, now I've given myself a headache...

That would be pretty sweet, but I think it'll be a bit more (unless Jerry is in a generous Christmas mood. Jerry? ;)). If you use the recent TG offerings, the base price of the BG version was just a bit more than 65% the cost of the base price on the INFI version. That ratio would put the BGAK right around $430 base price, darn close to what I previously speculated. ETA - The BG/CG AMS ratio was about 70%, which would put the BGAK at about $450. C'mon Watson/Jerry!!! Spread some Christmas cheer!!! :D

I suspect that the AK-47 will beat the fast sell out of the recent TG-M.
(I just hope I'm able to get in quickly - I'm going to be out of the house with friends this evening; so if this goes off like a Ganzaaa, I'm screwed.)

Yep, speculation is speculation. The price point will certainly have a bearing on how fast it sells out.

I'm betting the special requires you get a AK and regulator..... The regulator doesn't interest me so I'm pulling for a free g10 upgrade for Christmas!
 
Pretty sweet offering!! Is it just me or do the bgak handles look wider like a waki/rucki? :confused:
