What's Next?. . . Howz About An INFI Combat Grade Team Gemini M ? ? ? ?

A good friend of mine is a sheriff. He told me this is absolute baloney and a lot of people will be shocked when they land in jail.

I'd be more interested in what a lawyer has to say than a sheriff. ;)

Well if you live in Texas and have a CHL, pack your gun and your illegal weapon of choice, and let everybody hash it out.

The TGLB had light brigade treatment and meltdown for $387. The TG-M appears to have neither for $347. I guess the cost savings are more related to those two time consuming factors than the shorter blade length, which likely has a very minimal effect on the cost to produce. To those who love this one, congrats on the score! It's still a very cool blade. I, however, will sit this out. I have multiple TG variants already, and I feel that if I want to carry a 6" Busse, there are several models I'd Rather carry that are lighter and better slicers.

Also, if I lived in texas, I'd probably stick with a ratmandu or infimandu to meet the blade law. Here in georgia, I can legally carry an AR-15 and a butaniku to the grocery store if it makes me happy (not that I would, but I can justify a basic 8 on my hip at times).

"Daryl" had a TG with a DCBB finish, not satin. :)

Thank You, Jaxx.

Was Daryl's knife made only for the show, or others could buy/order a knife like that at that time? Was it on Busse's website as an available item?

You pretty much order the same thing from the site. Black and tan scales, and then whatever color blade coating. Strip off the coating, and a little finish work, voila Daryl's knife.

This. I think his was just a competition finish tglb with black/tan g10. Comp finish is what's hiding under the blade coating.

I would do that if they had origial TG, but double cut is a little different. I haven't seen an original TG with tan & black G10 for a long time.

I've started to save money for one.

Like Darryl's knife ;)

Good points. Unfortunately for guys like me, who either came too late to the game, or was too stupid (in my case) to get the TGLB while it was available, this TGM appears to be the only game in town for a while. Unless you can find the TGLB on the secondary market, where it will almost invariably command a premium over even this offering. Yeah, if I already had an INFI TG anything, I'd probably pass. Or an INFI piece in this size range that is a better slicer (which I don't). But a TGM and a BGTG is probably going to be my TG stable.

Nice knife but I can think of plenty of other Busse's and kin in this size I'd rather have so a pass for me.

On the subject of Daryl's knife, it is an original TG (not LB vers since that wasnt even being made till sround season 2) with DC finish and black/tan G10. Jerry I believe did state for season 3 and up the TWD crew did have a few extra TGs including some LB models on set.

I have 2 BGTG's on the way. I think it will be awesome, especially at .22 thick.

As do I. And I think the TGM will be good as well. Maybe not as awesome as some slicers out there (although being so late to the game as I, I wouldn't know what those are... except maybe the HG55, that I'm reading so much about around here lately).

I wish I had known this was coming. I would have passed on the BG TG and waited on this one. the 5.5" blade is more my style and INFI, also. maybe next time

Is there an inconsistency? I see many posts stating that the blade length is 5.5", but on the TG-M order/specs page, I see 6.25". Which is it? :)

It's still there, man. Available. Cancel the BGTG, if you haven't already been billed. Jerry posted the other day for people to contact Lexi to get on alternate lists because people sometimes cancel their orders so they have extras after a run.

Maybe 5.5" cutting edge? 6.5" from handle scales?
