I am not the greatest at sharpening, but I can always get A2 as sharp as I need. SR101 and even INFI take me many tries and more patience than I usually have in one sitting.
It takes a great edge and is very tough and any staining has always polished out very easily.
I am especially excited to see how Busse handles A2, as my experience is with Bark River and a Chris Reeve one-piece.
In a Team gemini, this will very likely be my new favorite knife.

Thank you for the info sir I know there's more than a few of us out there wondering how A2 compares to infi and sr101.

I am very happy to see this puzzle has been solved correctly!
:)
Congratulations to the winner!

Excited to see pics of Team Gemini in A2!!

As long as corrosion resistance isn't a prerequisite for you, properly heat treated A2 is as good as most people need. Takes and holds a wickedly sharp edge, and is pretty tough too.

Good deal thank you sir. That makes me think this will also be a coated blade though.

My experiences with a2 have been the opposite! EXCELLENT toughness with above average edge holding. No its not infi, but the price should be more appealing. Jerry chose A2 for the original lineup for a good reason. Have faith!

Every now and then I see a comment in threads from some old hog saying how they wish they made this or that model in A2. If A2 sucks then why would the guys that have seen and used it and infi and sr101 make those comments?
