Thanks Guys, the "porcupine bear" clue was what made me think about Native American names and it just made sense.

Just finished googling it and it looks like there really was a "Porcupine Bear" named Mato Pahin in the early 1900's. Pretty cool that Jerry already knew that when he posted the last clue.:thumbsup:
