Edit: JTT: Gadsden, sir; not Gadson. It's named after Continental Colonel Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805) of South Carolina. I only nitpick because both of my parents hail from Gadsden, Alabama, named for Col. Gadsden's grandson, James Gadsden (1788-1858).
See it before a little different ... possible a swedge or competition finish... I'd like to think he has a master in bladesmithing and probably metallurgy from american bladesmith society or similar
