I have a pretty big list in my head, and I have gotten a few in the last couple of days, but the ones I really want are

Cold steel large heavy bowie
Some sort of saw, a folding or bow, haven't decided.
A custom scandi, also haven't decided.
buck 110 with finger grooves
Bark river fox river or northstar
Grohmann survival custom with 7 inch blade (like sicily02s)
A good MEC pack, mine is too small
marlin papoose in stainless

All I can think of now, sure theres more.
Add your wish list.

At this point, seeing as though I've recently upgraded or replaced a number of things, just a few odds and ends.

One of the advantages of my age is that you've had the opportunity to purchase much of what you wanted in life. Now, you look forward to getting rid of half of it!

Some or the things that I plan on getting.
more Peterson's field guides
My Skookums (whenever Rod emails me)
A Golok
A large Diamond stone setup for my scandi's
Cold weather outer gear (Surplus military maybe, wool)
Wool Sweater (very heavy)
New large backpack

spyderco native,
antler ferrocium rod
arkansas stones to replace my now paper thin ones,
some sort of large bowie.

- Cold Steel Recon Scout for my son, were going to strip it down and refinish it...I hope?
- A large custom camp knife (in the works!)
- 4 new canteen and cooker set-ups for the family
- Kimber Pro Carry II, no stinking barrel bushing!
- 4 to 8 Ferrocium rods, at a good price. You guys got any favorite sites?

...Oh yeah! 100 lbs. of cherry PEZ to drop on the trail so I don't get lost in the woods!

BRKT Bravo 1 ! My first BRKT was a mini northstar antique ivory with red liners. Second BRKT was a Northstar, bamboo with red liners. Can't say enough about these knives!!!!!!!!!!!

In no particular order:

-Spyderco Temperance
-Valiant Trading Company Golok (not sure exactly which one I want yet)
-Victorinox One Hand Trekker

-Large lumbar pack for day hikes and really lightweight summer backpacking (I'm leaning toward something from True North Gear)
-NEW BOOTS!!!! (I really need a new pair before summer. . . I may still get my old Northlakes re-soled though 'cause I love 'em)

-A new digital camera

I think that's it for blades and relatively expensive items. There's always a bunch of little stuff from places like countycomm.com that I'm looking at and thinking about buying. The problem with all the little stuff is that when it all adds up it ends up being more expensive than some of the big stuff!

I'm also starting to do some reading about firearms and trying to decide what would best suit my needs/wants. I don't have anything in particular in mind for a first purchase yet though.

Edit: Well, I guess I did kind of put those in some kind of order after all. :o

Good thread… Here is my list, in no particular order:

K&M compass match case
Magnesium Fire Starter
Swedish Army Fire Steel
Sog Powerlock w/V-Cutter (Stainless)
Leather Charge TTi
Waterproof poncho
Misc. screws/nails/eyelets/drill bits/fish hook, various sizes/safety pins
Mesh bag
Springfield M6 Scout
1911 .45 (undecided make/model, leaning toward Kimber though)
BK7
Smaller fixed blade (undecided make model – but the longer I read these forums I may fall into Fallkniven & Mora trance:D)
SAK (trance again:D)
Nalgene Bottle & Cup
Canteen Cup
Cargo Pants (undecided on type/make)
Tin(s) (altoid type)
Hatchet (undecided on make/model)
Folding saw (undecided on make/model)
Etc. Etc. Etc.
Probably a baker’s dozen (x5) more by the time this thread is finished

Obviously, I am in the infantile stages of kit making… I am always open to suggestions.

Filson Tin Cloth Jacket and Chaps.
Superfeet Insoles for my boots.
Bear Grizzly Bow and Accessories.
Old Town Canoe.

Doug ritter griptilian
Hatchet, maybe a husquvana.(made by wetterlings)
550 cord
roman palm iv sleeping bag
Sea to summit poncho tarp
Garmin 60csx gps

Msr MiniWorks EX
BRK&T Bravo-1

Any cool Fallkniven that shows up. Preferably older models.
The new Fallkniven folder to released in April.

A new 500Gb SATA HD

There are just a few things on my buy list in the short term:

some 550 cord
Fiskars retractable saw
new backpack/rucksack
some .223 and 12 ga ammo, mostly the latter
a good bush hat (can't find one I like)

On the long term-
Fiddleback Bushcrafter
MuskratMan Bushcraft knife
F1

I'm sure like everyone else here, I'd trade most everything on this list to get more time to get out and use what I've got!

What I would like is a plain Jane black Micarta BRK&T 'Bravo-1'. What I need is a mindset to appreciate and use what I now have. I would also like some of what Gramps, etc, said... to get rid of a lot of my excess 'stuff'!
