To be quite honest, I am not a huge fan of all the new collaborations. I do love what I call the classic Spyderco knives:
Delica
Endura
Military
Manix
Para
Stretch
Native
Schempp, Bradley, Janich, Lum, Perrin collabs are the exception
The newer stuff over the last couple years just has not sparked any real interest. Strange from someone that has over 140 Spyderco knives. So that means I haven't bought much of anything other than a couple of sprints/LEs here and there, compared to almost always having a Spyderco purchase coming in at some point when I bought a knife or 2.
I think the Autonomy is going to be had at some point. I really like the overall design and I have owned all of the autos. I really like the Bradley designs and the recent Schempp models as well. The Aqua Salt is also a nice fixed blade as well as the new kitchen knives. Time will tell I guess.
I must have the Southard & the Burch Chubby.
Oh, but there are new models from Bradley, and Lum!
...as well as numerous new variations of those classics all upcoming.
And, are you only referring to new Collaborations specifically, or the new offerings as an entirety?
Just wondering, because there seems to be plenty to enjoy for all from where I see it.
I do feel you a bit on some of the recent more jewelry like collabs, but I'm not going to hate on it. I've always loved Spyderco for their variety, so I'm not going to go near hypocrisy and bash on anything new when I am very well aware there are other knife people out there bashing on my Yojimbo 2 and Dodo, etc.![]()
