Whats really in your pocket?

well Dale, I gotta say I agree with you I grew up on a farm and worked construction most of my life and I hunt and fish, One knife... Many uses, I use whats in my pocket for every thing. I dont generally bring my pocket knife to dinner but I just used it the other day to cut up some coffee cake and then I was digging around in the dirt with it an hour later. hahaha!! i worked on a ranch in texas, and i guarantee u we used our knives for everything!! its a hard habit to break. i was in a steak house the other day and those little saws they call knives werent cutting it, so i yanked out my UH and went to work, used it to cut up steak, chicken, and even a piece of pie. man the looks city folks give ya when u whoop out your own knife!! i sure as hell dont look like i am on a "jihad", but they were looking at me like it. oh well, a good knife is better than the best woman anyday!

You and me both. Funny thing is, my wife will be sitting there struggling with the crappy cafe cutlery, and I'll reach for my knife, at which point she always responds with, "No way. There's no telling where that thing's been." If she only knew...
 
I absolutely detest those funky steakhouse saws they try to pass off as a knife. It works to cut butter, as long as it is soft, but not much else.

My wife is a bit more understanding. We were sitting in the best steakhouse, in Salem (the capital of Oregon) and I was having the large cut of prime rib. Their so-called knife was making a mess out of it, so I whipped out my 8 OT (that my wife had given me for Christmas), and it cut my stake with the precision of the surgical scalpel. I think most people were envious.:D
