What's so great about Fiddleback?

That's what I asked Nbrackett a couple weeks ago. He was kind enough to show me around the fiddleback forum, fiddleback market place etc. He filled me in on the ins and outs of the company and who's who.
I decided I had to have 1....just 1.
I believe Nathan laughed a bit inside as he knew that wasn't possible. I'm glad to be a part of this great sub forum and hope to stick around for a bit.
Well since no thread is complete without pics:

To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. The attention to detail put into these knives is phenomenal.

As you can see I have some doubles and a few that just don't do it for me so I'll be selling/trading a few...to buy more of course. [emoji6]
Beware of this Nbrackett guy, he's an enabler.

It's the least I can do for a friend. Just don't come to my house when you can't pay your mortgage. 😊

I once described it as follows: "If you just want to cut something; get a Mora Number 1. If you want to smile every time you cut something; get a Fiddleback." For me, it embodies time tested craftsmanship, an eye for detail, and harkens back to an era where you actually knew the name of the people that sold you what you needed.

That's a pretty fine assembledge of Fiddlebacks in only a couple of weeks.
I'd have to say one of the things that makes Fiddleback Forge knives so great is the broad community that surrounds it.

I'm very honored by this thread. I'll say one of the best things about Fiddleback Forge is the team of employees I've assembled. Don't think they don't care about yall. I can tell you that they do. It's more than a job for all of us. We care about making knives for yall. We care about giving back. And... we like beer.

Blaine, Thanks for re-posting this description of yours. I've been reading this subforum going on two years now, and when I first saw your description of what makes owning a Fiddleback special, I decided it was the best post I'd read so far, on any subject. That's still true. Really gets to the heart of the matter. It's still my favorite post.

Nice post! I started with one, about seven years ago. I am not sure how many I've had, but I still have about 10 I think, mid techs and all.

You have a couple of my favorites in your collection. I love the Kephart and the Bushboot models.

Thanks for posting and good to see you here. You and I had a conversation about some CRK stuff awhile back. Another great thing about Fiddlebacks are you never have to worry about lockup and Andy's knives look as good or better than some of the finest UG's out there.

Nice Collection you started, when I joked with you last week that you got bit by the Fiddleback Fever hard, I didn't have any idea how bad that fever was.
You have some gorgeous knives there!
More Fiddlebacks in order to break the fever and then come the sheaths!
