Whats so great about the Junglas.

The 6 is going to be my next ESEE blade.Although I'll have to review it full monty to top Cricketdaves pics.:p

I started with an RC-3, and found it to be the perfect knife. I picked up an ESEE-6, just to try something bigger. Used it for a 2 day Primitive Skills class, and realized that I could have made it through the weekend with the '3.

If I could go back, I would skip getting the ESEE-6, and get the Junglas for all of my big knife chores.

I watched 5 minutes of it.. (i mean come on, i know the Junglas rock)

Is it the right way to pronounce "Junglas" .. ouglass .. ? english is not my first language and its not the way i was sayin' it.. and its nutnfancy so not sure i should trust it

i had a six, but traded it for a 5. then i picked up the junglas and have no regrets about getting rid of the 6. although they are for different uses, i feel i am well balanced with the selections i have made.

i carry a hest and rat1 folder everyday for normal chores/work. i keep the 5 in the truck bag as it will handle most tasks. i put the junglas in the truck if im going out in the woods camping or just whenever i feel i may need it.

Hi,

Well I have an Izula II, Esee 4, Esee, 6, and a Esee Junglas. I absolutely love each one. Each knife has its place and purpose in one of my packs or EDC. I wouldn't part with any of them. My only peeve is the Esee 6 does not have a Kydex sheath, and you cant get the canvas micarta handles on every black blade. I like the canvas micarta over the linen micarta. The linen micarta is just a bit too smooth for me. You just have to love those Esee Kydex sheaths. They all perform above expectations, and are way cool. Knife porn at its finest.

it just awesome .

Very high quality steel, great temper/heat treat, razor sharp (shipped just so), incredible sheath (just about the best factory sheath I've ever seen), great coating, all-expenses-paid, no-questions-asked, satisfaction-guaranteed warranty, excellent chopping and splitting, USA-made, the list goes on. Long story short, incredible.
And if you don't enjoy it, you can give it to me.
Or sell it (I guarantee you'll be able to sell it here on the exchange).

Very different knives. If you want an all around survival knife the 6 will be tops. If you chop down trees and process a lot of fire wood junglas. Both are excellent in their own category. If only one, the 6 for sure but come on now eventually you will get the izula, 6 and junglas. Now your set.
