What's the BEST Folder You Have...and YOUR FAVORITE?

In a real pinch, the body of the Douk Douk can be hammered "closed" and you have a fixed blade. Best $20.00 I ever spent.

Man, this looks like something out of Johnny Depp's latest movie, Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street!

If I could only have one it would be a hard choice between the Benchmade axis lock D2 AFCK and the Benchmade Pinnacle (titanium framelock).

The Spyderco waved Delica that I carry every day would be in the running as well.

I'm pretty new to this whole fancy knife thing, but I've got a pair of Buck cross-lock 'river rafter' folders (with sheeps foot serrated blade), one of which I have with me nearly constantly. I love the way it fits my hand, the solid feel, the one-hand open and close and the very solid lock. It rides nicely in my back pocket, too. The blade works great for most of the 'utility' chores I seem to need it for. I don't like that it's nearly impossible to sharpen the serrations (although it keeps an edge well enough that's really only beginning to be an issue), and that Buck doesn't seem to make them anymore.

I've managed to wade through this entire thread, and didn't notice a single serrated knife listed (although I hardly recognize most of them by name and model number, so I certainly could have missed some). I assume there's some good reason for that, which I imagine I'll run across in some other thread (maybe the 'nearly impossible to sharpen' thing?). I've got my eye on a Sebenza - probably a plain large - as an upgrade, and noticed they seem to be pretty popular here. I'd sure hate to lose one, though.

great thread - Carry on!

I really am a fickle knife-slut. I said that Buck #419 Folding Kalinga Pro (S30V) was my favorite. I really do like #110s... in just about any format. Okay, my 560XLT, essentially a Ti handled 110, is way down the list. One of these three below; a Cabela's 'Alaskan Guide' in S30V, a Custom Shop BG-42/Ni-Ag/Fiji orangewood, or the Custom Shop teardrop Damascus/Ni-Ag/flaming Koa wood should certainly be on my top - I really like the 110. Heck, the only mark down '07 Collector's Tin 110, like the one on my last entry, I could find ($21!) is a great choice, too. Just a great old knife... pretty close to a fixed blade, perhaps revealing my true likes.

I cant say which is best. The ZT 200 my wife bought me for fathers day is one of the nicest production folders I've ever owned, IMHO nicer than my Microtechs, MOD's,emerson's or Spydies. But my favorite all time folder is my "Old School" Gerber Covert folder. She has seen the world, worked hard and still pop's open so fast people think she's an auto.

Hmm best and fav, yep two distinct knives to be sure, I'd have to say
damascus Sebenza, had her all of one week, just too much $$ to hang on to!
and fav would have to be a lowly but decent Kershaw Double Cross,
very handy size knife, best of old and new knives, looks like a traditional folder
but also has thumbstuds and liner lock!

Best: Spyderco Military, standard G10 and S30V, plain edge
Favorite: tie between Mini-Griptilian 550HG, Victorinox Soldier and Endura 4 Wave

My new 'best' knives are my Buck Custom 110s'.

And my favorite is my Buck 277 Alpha Folding Hunter.
