whats the best KA BAR?

The one that says KA-BAR on the blade... :D

Seriously though, KA-BAR has quite an expansive line from their fighting utility knives, Johnson Adventure Blades, Becker Knife and Tool, Snody Knives, Dozier Knives, Tactical Defense Institute TDI Knives, Their Dogs Head Line and other traditional offerings, their Heavy Duty and Machete line, Union Razor Co line, and I am sure I am missing something. As a fan of KA-BAR knives they all pretty much offer a very good price to performance ratio. What you asked is kinda like "WHAT IS THE BEST KNIFE?!" Not really an easy question to answer. You have it narrowed down to KA-BAR as a brand, but you haven't narrowed it down any further for us. How much do you want to spend? What are you going to use the knife for? Any specifics you want met? Anyways... To help you out what I would suggest is to look around on the forums here in the KA-BAR subforum, there is a thread where people have just posted pics of their KA-BAR knives, maybe you can find something you like there. OR hop onto KA-BAR's website, or Tomars KA-BARs and look at what they have to offer. Once you have found a specific blade you like maybe amend this post and ask about that specific blade.

For me it's the mark 1 and the bk 16. ... but seriously it's the one you pick up and speaks to you. I use mine for almost every thing from camping/hunting to yard work. So what. Ever one that just works for you
 
The ka-Bar Knife company manufactures many different knives and they can be used for many different things so their is not a specific one that is the best unfortunately.
 
If there was one knife to rule them all, nobody would bother making anything else.

What do you need it for?

Agree with the BK24. First becker and not the last. Definately a favorite of mine.

my 1271 has done me well... I like using it better than the old school models. I need to get a bk9 or even bk2.
 
Why are we still posting in this thread? The OP has only been on BFC for three weeks and hasn't posted anything at all in two. And the question is far to vague to answer anyway.
 
Because we love it when obscure people post vague questions. It gives us a reason to praise one thing or another.

yeah, and the bk9 may be the end all be all, but you can't use a trump card like that to call dibs on the last post.

They are all great at certain tasks and each are designed with a particular purpose.

Also depends what your individual style is. Want more traditional or do you like tactical?

gotta disagree, the clear cut answer for both is 1) bk9 2) fox body 5.0 mustang, lol.

I'm guessing this guy may have got his feelings hurt and left, or maybe he was a troll.
