I'm going to break this up into three sub-questions:

1. What's the biggest folder you regularly carry?

2. If you either regularly or occassionally carry a fixed blade as your EDC, which is the biggest one of those you carry? Extra Credit: Describe where you live in general terms (Small Town in the Southern USA).

3. If you only carry your big knife on camping or hunting trips what's the biggest knife that you carry?

Very curious about people's responses an especially to see for #2 if anyone regularly carries a 20" Arkansas Toothpick or something awesome.

1. Buck-Strider folder. But not that often. Very chunky knife.

2. I used to carry both a Gerber Command 1 and a Gerber Guardian when I lived in Brooklyn, NY. Both were carried concealed for personal protection and were never needed. The Command 1 is a 9" blade. I carried it IWB with a T-shirt over it.

3. Strider tactical/bowie. Or vintage Cold Steel Trident. Both are about 12" OAL.

I usually carry a few slipjoints or traditional lockbacks, including the Tidioute 73 or 72. The Native 5 and Bob T slipit are usually along for the ride in my truck. I have big paws and sometimes carry my Manix 2 XL or my BM 710.

These are the ones that I rotate through for EDC. The Barrage is probably the biggest.

I carried this EDI Genesis for a long time:

On occasion I carry this big CRKT M21:

I'm interested in buying a Spyderco Military and a ZT 0560, and I would EDC them.

I've never EDC'd a fixed blade but I'm interested in trying that. I would have to carry it in my jeans pocket and I think 6.5" overall length would be about right for that.

1. Kershaw Compound.

2. Don't usually EDC a fixed blade, although I plan to give it a shot here shortly after I make one. I've been drawing up plans for a ~4" trade knife style blade.

3. HI 16.5" WWII khukuri. A bit bigger than the others...

I prefer something around 3.5, 3.75 does not bother me but by about 4 inches the handle generally is too bulky for my liking in a pocket. the biggest fixed blade I will carry is about 5/5.5 inches from a shoulder rig.

ZT 0561... though less often than I did when first purchased; living in urban/ suburban LA makes the bigger blades an iffy proposition. Para 2 is my safe bet, any my GEC #42 is typically in one of my other pockets. My SAK fieldmaster is often in my pack as well... Fixed blades of serious length are just not worth the trouble, though I'd love to carry an ESEE 4 (w/TKC scales) or Bark River Bravo 1 (3v) all the time...

I usually edc a couple slipjoints. Grandad barlow S&M is pretty big.

I also regularly carry a fixed blade. Front pocket, clip sheath.

Busse BAD, GW, and SS have all had pocket time.

Camping, I carry a 12 inch chopper and a few smaller fixed blades and folders.

B11, Cabs and

A1. Benchmade Adamas and ZT 0301. Often, they are part of my EDC rotation.

2. Becker BK7 suspended from belt and exposed. I live in Northern California in a city with a population of about 90,000. I carry it about 2 days put of the week.

3. Largest knife while camping is a Cold Steel Kukri Machete

I work in a retail environment, wearing a shirt and tie, so this little guy is always with me.

Fallkniven U4 - 2 inch blade

Most of the time outside of work it is 1 of these 2:

Spyderco Delica - Just under 3 inches

1. Buck 110 is my go-to when I 'm hanging around the humble abode. On the street it's a Kershaw OD-1.

2. Never EDC a fixed. I have considered buying an Izula to carry, don't know if I'll ever actually do it.

3. KA-BAR USMC is the one I grab for the woods.

1- BM Contego, ZT 560, Emerson CQC-15, and a Buck CS 110 are my largest edc folders.
2- Tom Krein PSK (Blue G10 + A2 steel) fits nice and snug in my pocket when needed.
3- Busse NMFBM (Blue/Black G10 + Arctic White blade)
My Maxped pack goes everywhere I do, which makes it much easier to transport and carry larger fixed blades.

I almost always have a Queen #26 small stockman on me.
Most of the time it is a Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

I see lots of ZT 0560s

ZT 0560 is the largest I carry often. I spend time in the suburbs, and 20 hours a week in the desert.

I know the Cara Cara 2 is nothing special... but that is my go to lately.... love the size and 3.4 oz seems perfect, plus it has the choil unlike the Endura.

Large sebenza or benchmade barrage is largest folder. Anything larger, I use fixed blade. Largest fixed blade? Gerber gator machete. Although I do carry smaller stuff at times, you asked about largest lol

Deep South, off the beaten path, gators and snakes are common.
