What's the deal with Botach?

In perusing some threads here, I've seen some folks say that Botach is not a good dealer. Why is this? What's the deal with them?

Do a search in GBU. From what I hear, if you call and check that the item is in stock, you can get good service, but they are notorious for having items on backorder and causing very long deals that annoy people.

I see they suck

They do and they don't. I placed an order on line on Dec 23,( my third. The fiorst two went pretty well) then got no acknowlegement of said order for about ten days. So I figured the order didn't get thru, and I missed a special sale.

Next day, I get an email and the package shows up 2nd day UPS(I had selected 3 Day), but I think they billed me for 2nd day any way. Then I open the package and of three items selected there was a selection error(so I end up with two of one item and none of another). I used the on-line complaint form today to get a return authorization, but we'll see. In any case I'm going to have to take time out to go ship it with insurance and get a credit.

On the plus side, I got a great deal, price wise; but in terms of value, it's not as clear.
