Behold! The True Believer!!!Carbon steel is so far above most stainless they can barely be compared. Chris
On a different note, I have a 1095 carbon steel Puukko that laughs and kicks sand in the face of even my finest S30V knives.
I can't seem to get over the stainless thing...

What kind of steel is in a sak anyway?
'Cause they are quite thin and acute.wow, thats a good writeup. very interesting. all i know is, for stainless, my 3 tinkers, and 2 trekkers are outstanding cutters.
'Cause they are relatively softeasy to sharpen
There you go. What more is needed than a tool that does what you need? :thumbup:and will cut anything i need.
exactly. though, my swiss armies, dont have the 'neatness' of my kershaw or spyderco, its still the best tool ive ever carried. i reach for it more than my gerber multitool in the field, and its always there, dummy corded in my pocket.
