Is this a new knife or an old knife repackaged. I see it on the buck web page as a new "limited" knife. I like the style but know little about the knife. Could someone shed some light on this subject. :o

Preston - while that aluminium scaled knife is nice, this is what I think of when I hear "Buck 111"...

irjws, which 111 do you mean?

The older "Classic Series" with aluminum scales with western scrollwork, or the new 111 with the Elk or Ironwood scales?

I am interested in the new model. I have a few question; it is an improvement on the 110 ? Is the handle the same thickness ? Is it lighter than the 110 ? I guess what I need is the specifications, I have not been able to find any specific info yet.

Trax, the reason I refered to that thread is that it mentions both models and Joe H. explains why there is a problem with the numbering. Preston

Here are the stats.

Closed 4 7/8
Blade 3 3/4

Basically it's a 110 with different shaped bolsters, or in the case of the Elk handled one, no rear bolster.

Don't seem to be any difference otherwise.

Preston - I threw in the pic because I'd never heard of the Classic 111 until I read that thread... :D (Always nice to see all the options)

Options???? you're talking about options...does this mean that we can expect a Trax 111 in the near future;), or are you talking options for parts...you have such a fertile mind(and I mean that as a complement...not SFB). Preston

Different pics of 111's, I meant...The Classic was in that link you pointed to, so I threw in the pic that Johnny11758 posted...so irjws could choose one to talk about...

...Or just zoom off on another topic altogether like every mother's lovin' son does on this Forum...me included!!! :D :p ;)
