Whats the deal with the Armed Forces folder?

If we faulted every company for putting out a copy of someone else's knife ... guess there would be just one knife company left. Case in point how many companies have a "Buck knife" in their line-up? ... the 110 is quite possibly the most copied design ever! If this was a blatent, unauthorized clone ... Strider sure has the resources to sue. Innovation is usually built off of someone else's idea ... very little comes from stratch these days. You just have to make enough changes to your design to avoid litigation. ALL knife companies are guilty of this. No one has a 100% original design.

Your post makes perfect sense. . . To anyone Devoid of Knowledge or ethics.

As for the CRKT M-16, maybe it's because mine came from a big box store and only costs $19.99 ... but in my opinion the (2) AF folders I have are ten times better in the terms of design and fit. I actually had to file down the linerlock's detent on the CRKT ... just to get it to open and close right. It's not what I found typical of CRKT and I am sure they would ahve warrantied it, if I complained but 2 minutes with a needle file, some adjustments of the pivot screw, a little 3n1 oil and all is better.

Instead of a lame personal attack, why not debate the material? Or are you just too ignorant? It is a truth that knife designs closely mirror each other. Te next new knife is someone interupritation of an existing design (also a truth). Show me a large knife co that makes a "folding hunter" then tell me it's NOT a clone of/inspired by the Buck 110? Show me one company that their designs are 100% their's

I have elaborated on this subject many times in the past. Fools who don't know that the Buck 110, and other traditional designs are public domain, who don't care about ethics, are never going to "get it". They don't want to get it, and they never do.

Must have missed all your prior threads and your demeanor sure doesn't inspire me to seek out your perils of past wisdom. IF there is a blatent copy-write infringement, that would be for courts to decide. Buy whatever floats your boat. My guess is that Stryder isn't concerned. Perhaps they know it comes with the business. I can't believe they wouldn't know of such knives existance ... after all they are everywhere and I suspect greatly outnumber the sales of the Striders.
