I just got my ESEE 5 today in the mail. I have wanted this thing since I first seen it and bought a 4 because I thought I would carry it so it would get more use. I really like the feel of the grip size on the RC-5 over the RC-3 and RC-4 but that is me.

One thing I have noticed about mine compared to the pictures of the knives in this thread is mine already has some paint missing from trying it with firesteel.

It's my urban survival knife. If there's ever another big earthquake here (second largest ever on record happened here) and I survive the initial shitstorm, I'm counting on the 5 to cut, pry and bash me to safety.

This is my thoughts on the knife, if shit hit the fan i know the esee 5 would not leave me down.

just got my 5 today as well, definite beast of a knife. next will be a junglas as my "large" blade to compliment the 5 and 3mil. unless there's a release of 4's and 6's with canvas and black. then i will just have to get them all.

Gotta get an extra 3-mil and swap the scales with a 4, and an extra 5 and swap the scales with a 6. Then you're all set.
