Another thread about fakes in the general forum.

No Spark, I don't see what difference it makes where the items are sold.
Moreover, everybody uses ebay.

The thread noted here makes reference to an obscure site in China. As regards the thread highlighted in my first post, I doubt you could get those fakes many places outside of ebay.

In both cases we're dealing with cheapies - but the fakes I highlight often go for real money.

Page views - as I indicated in an earlier thread the general forum gets significantly more views than the GB&U (which as far as I can tell seeks to identify specific sellers). This is evidenced by the larger number of page views the thread in my first post has received in a fairly short period as compared to my thread moved to GB&U.

There is no difference between my threads and the two I singled out here except the money involved. It appears that to highlight $10.00 fakes is more important than $300.00 fakes. Go figure.

As I indicated earlier in this thread, you still have a link to the general forum and thus have multiplied your viewers, since not everyone views every forum every day. If your thread views drop, it can certainly be attributed to your content.

I, for one, don't accept your non-pology; and furthermore I demand you apologize for using the word cretins, as we prefer the more PC term; Thyroid Challenged. I also demand you post a Post-it sticky on your forehead.
 
Wow. I'm impressed. Not by the quality of your post there, averageguy; no I'm impressed by your sense of entitlement and ability to miss the point.

You still can't see the differences between your posts and the ones that weren't moved? Let me lay it out for you. Point to a specific auction on ebay, complaining about counterfeits - it's Gbu bait. General counterfiet discussion? Stays in the general forum. A mention of an email where knife making kits are counterfeits? Custom, knifemakers or The Gbu again. A thread showing examples of production ripoffs or one posting "what to look out for"? Stays in general discussion.

As for "page views" - give me a frigging break already. Are you getting ad revenue from those threads? No? Then give it a rest.

Quite frankly "your" threads were pretty "fluff" and lacking in specifics. They definately didn't belong in general discussion.

So, in summation, stop being a cretin and stop whining. You don't want your threads moved? Display more effort before posting them and put them in the right place
