What's the ETA on the Chinook 4?

I was wondering if anybody else was waiting for this iconic model to drop, I've been waiting 3years! I think this is my grail! Anticipation is killing me!:)
 
I had a Chinook 3 that I bought for $126 nib. I traded it for the labor to put front shocks on my 02' Tacoma 4X4. I took him about 3 hours.

I bought another Chinook 3 in excellent condition for $90. I still have that one.

The curve on the last .75 inch of blade on the 3 looks a little more curved than the 4. Has anyone else noticed that?
 
I recently became a fan of the upswept/Persian design after getting a Battlestation. I like it so much I immediately looked for other, larger variations and came across the Tighe Stick and the Chinook. I plan on getting both :thumbup:. Something about that style of blade...it's different and has personality for sure. Definitely not for everyone, but damn it sucked me in :D. Too bad I'm too late to the game for the earlier Chinook versions. Some bad azz blades. Hey....this thread needs some pics from guys that have Chinooks!

I thought I read somewhere that the Chinook 4 was early 2017, but I could be wrong. Anybody have any guesses?
 
No idea, but I know I'm getting one. That said, with as many great knives as they're putting out this year I almost hope Spyderco gives my wallet some time to recover between releases!

The 4 looks awesome, but at over $200 I will have to wait for the post initial release price drop or off the exchange
 
I'm happy to see more of the Power lock, but I can't wrap my brain around the tip up only change! WTF

darn. that is one of the few spydercos for this year i was wanting. terrible news. whats next no k390 police 4?

I'm sick that I have to pay $210 for tip up only! I get the whining when something is tip down now. Sort of.

Cuz tip up is stupid, and all.

I prefer tip down in most folders, but being a back lock it doesn't bother me.... especially being a mix SD/EDC combo knife. I'm looking forward to Tuesday! Fortunate enough to find someone who picked up a batch of CC # knives that didn't warm up to it.... got it for a little less.
 
Looks like I'm getting my second Spyderco this year. I don't really carry clipped folders anymore but this will be an exception!
