What's the fan favorite metal used so far in the Mule Team releases?

My personal favorite is the M4 mule. The cutting power of that blade is simply amazing. It has been my go-to camping knife for the past 18 months.

Keep an eye on the exchange for old mules. I managed to pick up a used M4 mule off the exchange with handles and kydex sheath for a reasonable price.

Hey shunsui,

This is the first Mule I handled and made a sheath for; how do you like it? She looks well used  You probably did notice the shortened guard and the radiusing of the thumb ramp. Sheath still works OK? Still have the matching firesteel? If you're interested to know, I had it hardness tested and it came back at 62rhc.

Sorry for the off-topic post but very cool to see it around :)

I only have experience with the CPM M4 ones and they shown very good edge holding! I think they did a fantastic job heat treating this steel. I liked it so much that I immediately picked up an M4 Military!

You did a great job on this mule. The handle is nicely finished and very comfortable. Love the radiusing on the thumb ramp. Really makes a difference. Sheath works great. No scratches, no shavings. Took the fire steel off, but have it stashed away. 62 rockwell sounds good to me. Thanks for mentioning it, I had a bookmark on your original post in the exchange but it's on another computer. The fellow I bought it from loved it but wanted a larger knife.

Scored one.
Picked up a M390 Mule. Now...sheath and scales.
I hope I made a good selection. I wish it was cheaper, but I got what I think I really wanted.

Thanks for all the info folks!
