Whats the first buck you ever owned?

I can't rember which came first a 102 or a old style Bucklite. The 102 wasn't around long:confused: and I carried the Bucklite for 2 or 3 years when it was replaced with an old 110fg which I carried for 10 years or so. I don't know what happend to my old Bucklite either.
Strange how that happens. My 102 from 1960 was lost to history as soon as I left for the Navy. It probably ended up in a yard sale along with my baseball card collection. You all know how moms are about cleaning. :( :(

Not just cleaning...When I got out of active duty, I found all my bedroom stuff gone...bed, dresser, desk, etc...

I don't know what they planned in its place, but they sure weren't expecting me back... :grumpy:

884T Wally World special. Neat little liner lock. I like it.

Just yesterday picked up a 110 in a tin for 9 BUCKS at Wally World.

Check out the Wal-Mart 110 threads; the guys been posting stores and directions for the last couple-six months...mine still has the last six for $23.44... :grumpy:

Yeah, I've seen that stuff. Most all are in the east or mid-west and I'm here on the left coast. John got me one from a store about an hour away.
I just can't finger why they don't stock 'em here in da hood.
Thanks Chicken...

Nah, I was just saying that my ex's don't live in Texas. Though I wish they did. :p
I did buy my 530 Mini Multitool at the Bass Pro near the Dallas airport and worked in Houston for about 6 months back in the 80s'.

A two dot Buck 112 and then I inherited a Buck 104 set. The 102 in the 104 set had been destroyed before I got the set so I replaced the 102 with a 105 which fit in the pouch.

I kept my Buck 112 through childhood and carried it in the military, same knife, even when I had other knives on me. I eventually wore a hole in the leather of the original sheath. I still have it and it's still razor sharp.

In the FWIW dept, I've found that the Buck 112 and the Leatherman Wave seem to be pretty much an exact match on pouch interchangability.

Bit of trivia: In the movie 'Kill Bill vol 1', the folder that the Bride takes off of the dead man and then takes down the orderly with (by severing his achilles tendon) is a Buck 112.

Ok Moose,

Here goes....my first buck was a 110 that I bought to go into my knife collection when I was about 11-12 years old in 71-72. I had an older brother that was a rolling stone (bum). Every time he made it back home I would give him my 110 and then have to save up for a new one. He must have gotten at least 3 110's and 1 112 from me. I sure would like to have those back now. But, I couldn't let him hit the road without what I considered a necessary survival tool. He most likely traded those off for some dope at his first chance. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

Well Agent 1253,
I think we would have to get one of those supply ships sitting in the mothball fleet in your back yard. We can get Mike to be captain, Trax to be machinist, and Darryl to be the ship doc. The rest of us can work ivory scrimshaw with our pallets of Bucks while drinking rum and chasing Mary Ann around the poop deck (I think that is Darryl's battle station).

Well, enough dreaming, I just wanted three or four but think I will just send my brothers and dad a fruitcake for Christmas :D

Technically is was a Buck 311 Trapper that said "Winchester" on the shield. Was a Camillus contract knife that was special ordered for Winchester employees by a sales rep. in the early 80's. Only 500 were made, along with 500 301's with the Winchester shield. It was traded to me by my brother who got it from his father-in-law who was a longtime Winchester employee (Olin USA). Never used it, and like a fool sold it....still have the 301 though. Really rare.

My first Buck knife I actually bought and used was my Custom Shoppe Elk 110.

Will watch for you a 311 Win. only have one myself.

First was a 303 that was a upgrade from a BSA campknife about 1963.
