whats the first knife you ever owned?

The first knives I carried belonged to my dad. They where mostly Old Timers. The first one that was actually mine was a 2 blade slipjoint. I wasn't into brand names back then, so I don't know who made it. It had a blade and a fish scaler. I bought it at a hard ware store. Lost it camping with the Boy Scouts. I still miss that knife over 20 years later

We were living in Norway as my dad was stationed there with the RAF. I must have been about six or seven years old.

The knife was a POS, shaped, painted and sized like - of all things! - a cigarette. I dimly recall a single blade.

I was so proud to have a knife that I went straight across the road to a play area... and lost it! I even seem to recall trying to sharpen it against a kerb stone. A knut even then.

My first decent knife was an SAK, a Victorinox Ranger, bought shortly after I joined the police for duty carry. I still have it, almost 30 years later.

I already posted this elsewhere, but for convenience's sake:

Hi everyone.

Besides a swiss army knife that I bought about 8 years ago, and not including Japanese swords and daggers, this is my first knife purchase.

William Henry T-10 Lancet
Limited edition - #39 of 100
154CM 3" blade with Tungsten DLC coating
Titanium frame
Ironwood handle
Koftghari gold inlay
Tiger's Eye thumbstone

I am very, very happy with this knife. :D The appearance is rustic, yet the feel, weight, action, lines, etc. are all very refined. One minor issue is that opening this blade one-handed is tricky at best - especially compared to the T-12 and some other WH models I handled, which were quite easy to open. But I wouldn't need to open this blade one-handed anyway, as I doubt I will ever use this knife for anything serious at all. Everything else about it fits my tastes perfectly.

Hope you enjoy the few pics I snapped before going to bed:
