What's the "grippiest" handle material?

Benchmade's G10 tends to be way too smooth for me. It comes off almost feeling plasticky. It's still tough, and I still like it, but really, there's room for improvement. I'm thinking about buying a 32 morpho though.
*agrees*

I wish Benchmade's G-10 was better.. grippier. But I still like it since it is a tough material. And I also want a Morpho.

I like my G-10 rough like Spyderco, Al Mar, Stirder, Emerson etc... or very polished like the silver G-10 on the Activator. I don't like (as much) the "in-between" found on the AFCK, 710, and such.

To keep repeating what has already been said... I also like Kraton. I really like the feel of my Nighthawk and Warthog- Kraton doesn't feel classy but it works. And the grip-tape found on a few knives, such as the Storm, is very grippy too. But I think it feels cheap.

Mark - I definitely want to try a piece of that burlap micarta - send it when you get a free moment.

I think biogon brings up a good point...sometimes a material can be "too grippy" and tear up your skin...definitely don't want that.

It seems that overall, G-10 has received the most votes. Thanks to everybody for your input.

Back when Gerber introduced the Mark II Combat Knife the handle was aluminum with a fine mist of stainless steel droplets sprayed on the surface. I think they called this "steel grip". It was as grippy as a medium coarse grit diamond hone.

Yeah, but it wears off. The handle on mine is worn smooth after 20 years.
