What's The Hardest Steel For You To Sharpen?

I just got a Lil' Temp TP in 440V. I don't know it's original angle, so I did it on the Sharpmaker w/30deg back bevel and 40deg edge bevel. It still shaves, but I still don't know that I did a great job. I think I may try a Gatco system on it next time...along with some magic marker on the edge...

All this to say, it's the hardest sharpen I've had.

Gerber LST steel. Used Norton Coarse brown, DMT blue, Lansky ceramic, medium ark, NOTHING. It would only shave a little. My Frosts Mora was easy.

440V and 420V; take your pick. Neither one of them are any fun to sharpen. I am unable to get the edge I prefer on either steel.

S30V hasn't been a problem for me. I've only had to do touch-up. Talonite wasn't so bad either. I'd say the toughest was my SOG Tech-II from the late 80s. Reprofiling that took a lot of elbow grease on a 220grit stone! It took a better edge than my AUS-8 Cold Steel subhilt, though.
