He chased a groundhog under the backyard fence and got his collars and tags caught up in the wire mesh on the other side (the neighbors have a Cyclone fence up against my Stockade). I couldn't reach under far enough to undo his collars so.......I had to cut them before he choked to death. 2 collars, 1 Sebenza, 1 cut = live dog.
Last night, my mother saw a black widow run into one of those green plastic boxes that the lawn sprinkler controls are in. The only way to get the lid off is to pry it up. I didn't feel like making a trip to the doctor so I snapped my Strider open and found the little bugger. Then I squishied it with the flat of the blade.
That's the most tactical use this knife has ever gotten.
I realize said shaving comments were a bit gauche, but hey, I'm an honest guy. On the other hand, I'm glad this has turned into a multi-page thread... kind of fun, huh? And Tom, if you actually read this again, is that TNT L or XL? (Beautiful knife!) I'm starting to doubt my Sebenza is king of the heap...
Typical day, opening envelopes and packages, opening some shrinkwrapped pallets. However, nothing beats stabbing and mutilating junk mail--massive stress relief.
Not bad Tom, but a little small. What was that, a teeny T??
Don't know why, but I can never keep these two close together without trouble starting...
Well, I can't say what I cut (and I don't have any nipple hair), but suffice to say that you should never practice knife moves in your 'birthday suit'. And yes, da**it! I shed a tear. Up to now, my rack was scar-free. Then again, maybe it won't scar. That'd be nice.
I regularly use my MicroTech LCC D/A (not too expensive, but my most costly so far) to open mail and slice fruit. Recently used it to slice a corn-dog for my 2 year old son at a restaurant.
Danbo, Yes, but not with a Digital camera. Just a close up with my little ol' Pentax. The cut was so fine, I'm hoping it won't scar. But it bled like sh**!
i have to amend my earlier post...
the other day i cut a skinny little vine that tangled itself in my rear sprockets/deraileur during a bike ride and made me fall down. it was a small one, but bloody-hell was that one tough plant!
peace.
aleX.
I was doing some hiking on the Sheltowee Trace trail (in Kentucky) last weekend and used my Randall mod. 14 to cut some sticker bushes away from a section of the trail which was pretty overgrown. I sometimes feel silly taking one of my large Randall knives with me while hiking or camping because I don't really use it much, but last weekend I was a smiling, hacking, hiker.
