I started at a new company recently and though I do still need a knife occasionally I now west slacks and khakis and don't feel right with an Onslaught clipped to my pocket...

It's been a while since I shopped for a new knife, especially a smaller one. I'm looking for something smaller (3"ish) that is more svelt than tactical...

I am absolutely loving Spyderco's Domino right now, a little bigger than 3" tho. My ZDP/Nishijin Dargonfly is hard to beat in the sub 3" class. If you have the money a small Sebenza or Strider PT CC are about as nice as they come. On the cheaper end of the spectrum, I really like the look of CRKT's Carajas personally.

Spiderco makes some good sleek small folders.

I personally wear slacks daily to work, I edc a small sebenza. I keep mine in the pouch and I dont notice its there until I do a pat down for it.

With slacks, I usually have a Gayle Bradley Air or Fallkniven U2 unclipped, or a Speedform 2 or Ti Leek with modified clips.

Nice call with the Air, I'd like to try one some time, but M4 makes me nervous...I know it's not much maintenance but I'm pretty forgetful and I'd be pissed if I ruined such a nice blade due to stupid ^^;

I like the American-made Zings for unassisted or the Leeks for assisted, but if you want something really nice looking with an all-Ti frame and IKBS bearings you might like the CRKT Ken Onion Eros. I think you can pick them up now for around a C-note. It weighs about as much as an eyelash, and has an Acuto+ blade, which is a very good steel.

Forgot, I actually have a pic!

I just started carrying a Strider PT, I call it my Stridette...such a tiny thing it is, but it's nice.

I do have a Mini Grip already (and a Spyderco Sage 2 and Caly 3). I'm looking to trade in one of my big knives for something smaller. I have been alternating between the Sage 2 and Caly 3 for carry and would like to add a third to the lineup. The Spyderco Domino looks nice but maybe too similar to what I'm carrying.

William Henry E6, CRKT Eros, Bm 530, etc.--these will all disappear in your pocket, even with dress pants. The Domino is basically a bulkier Sage with a flipper, probably not the best candidate for your described purposes.

I carry a benchmade 530 in my slacks. Its very slim, 3.25" blade.

If you want to stay w/Spyderco and want smaller, yet something different...try a Techno. Very "tool" like in character, small yet rugged, quirky euro cool as opposed to tactical, and should cost a lot more than it does since it exceeds many similar customs in F&F, materials, and intelligent design. I haven't seriously considered buying or carrying a diff knife since I acquired one...simply perfect.

I own an Air PE and love it's size and light weight, yet the blade is more than adequate for most chores required.
