What's the most expensive knife

A whopping $485 for a used TNT last summer. I don't regret it but that was a big chunk of change for me. Tom makes a great knife.

$300 Production for a Ti Knives Dresser
$600 Custom for a Ed VanHoy Raindrop Damascus with MOP sscales and mokume bolsters.

I didn't post my most expensive :)
It's $125 for a BM 960 which was shipped yesterday so it will soon be in my eagarly hands, YES!

I wonder if there's some kind of border when a knive becomes art, pricewise i mean? Someone here payed $13 000 and that must be art i guess.

One of the most expensive knives I have seen is this fully mounted tanto forged by Rick Barrett that sold for $3500, and worth every penny. http://www.barrettcustomknives.com/nihonto/tanto01.htm

If you get one from a well known Japanese swordsmith, say one who has been elected a National Treasure you could pay well over $5000.
