The world trade tower native set always seems to have a high price!!! Any super collecter's model that is a very limited run will fetch a high price.......I dont own any though.Do you mean retail or after market???
never heard of this,any info?
AFAIK, they were all single knives, boxed, like this...It was a boxed set consisting of a D'Allara inlaid with the WTC. Everyone paid full MSRP (even employees) and all profits went to benefit the families.
The WTC Knife D'Allara has been selling for around $400 on eBay. The C27 Horn is one of the more under-appreciated Spydercos. They generally sell for $300 or less.Wow, I can only imagine what a mint set of the WTC D'Allaras &/or the C27 Jess Horn box set would/could cost. I sure do like the look of that Jess Horn, though.

It is a Golden made S30V version of the D'Allara Rescue, inlaid as you mentioned with a piece of steel from the WTC. But MSRP was $225, so it was not even close to being the most expensive.
If you count "aftermarket" sales, then the single highest price paid for a production Spyderco I am aware of was around $725 for a 25th Anniversary Delica on eBay.

Guess there's a lot of different ways to look a "most expensive".
If you want to talk in terms of greatest appreciation in value between MSRP and record selling price then one or another of the low volume Q variants would win by a mile. Those little guys carrried a $50 MSRP and a few have fetched over $400 and at least one over $450 on eBay.
If you want to talk greatest absolute appreciation in value, the Dino Bone Executive might be the winner on a technicality. None of these were originally sold, all were given as gifts to Spyderco employees so, technically, the MSRP was $0 and, IIRC, at least one I saw on eBay sold for over $500.

Well, not quite. In the process of researching something else, I happened to look at the 1999 Spyderco retail price list. Every year prior to that, from 1994 when both were introduced through 1998, the C27 Jess Horn was more expensive than the C22 CF Michael Walker. However, in 1999, the Horn was no longer in the lineup and the MSRP of the C22 CF Walker jumped from $435 to $455. So it turns out I was wrong.Great post.
End of thread. LOL!
What does the original two screw worker go for these days ?
