What's The Most Expensive Spyderco

Let's not forget about the Ti ATR. I've seen quite a few go for over $350. IDK what the MSRP was.

At $449.95 in 1995, the single Spyderco knife with the highest MSRP of any produced to date is still the C27 Jess Horn. Evolution Sets 001 - 300 carried a $495 MSRP that year, making them the highest priced item sold by Spyderco to date, but it consisted of two knives.

Paul

Speaking of sets, Paul is being coy. The most expensive "set" is probably that horde of embellished Kiwis he has collected over the years. Value unknown but beyond our combined annual salaries! :D

Official sets? What qualifies? These were bought as a set:

Well, at least the bottom three are the CC 002 set.
MSRP:
C07 GBE = 285.95
C13 GBE = 262.95
C13 GBW = 262.95
Total = $811.95

The David Yellowhorse C03, C07 & C09 set from 1988/89 (or any of the individual knives) would fetch a high price today. No estimate of their original MSRPs.

The 5-color Q sets (Solid blade and plain edge) that Eric sold were kind of semi-official sets and came with a collector's letter. (I think there were 20 of each) Price was about $300.

Any others?????

Interesting thread!

What about the 25th Anniversary Delica that Ed Schempp did with the damascus "bug" bolsters? Wouldn't that be near the top of the price list?

Alraedy mentioned by The Deacon in post #8. :)

I just happen to have a Spyderco Police Model done by David Yellowhorse. I also have a certificate signed, I believe, by a man named Hilburn, certifiying the knife as a prototype, and one of five. It was appraised at a shot show by Mr. Glesser about three or four years ago. It came wrapped in bubble wrap in a small cardboard box with a note from Steve Garten. The note says, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." It's beautiful, and just sits in my safe.

Forgot to mention, because I'm an air-head, that at the time the knife retailed for $250.00, which was extremely expensive in them thar days.

iono... i don't really like the trapezoidal nail nick or whatever it is on the Jess Horn.

maybe its just me.
