What's the most over used phrase in Knifedom?

"Sharpened pry-bar" by a long shot, IMHO.
Why not just say "very tough knife"??? "Sharpened pry-bar" is so un-flattering  .

"I'm gonna shank you!" god damn whenever I hear one of my friends say that I feel bad for some reason.

Tactical.

There's a lot of words or phrases that are used a lot, but "tactical" is definitely over and stupidly used. Exactly how tactical a situation is opening mail or cutting a box?

"The photos don't do this amazing knife justice..." :barf:

Most times they are right. *Sometimes* we are lucky they AREN'T clear... :D

Coop

"...locks up like a bank vault!" :)

"...differentially heat treated..."

"triple quenched" (what for???)

"52100 pushed to the limit..." :D

I'd say "Special Ops." It always gets me when a knife is adverstised as being used by SWAT teams or Special Ops soldiers. Neither cops or soldiers make that much money and I can't imagine most of these guys and gals spending $100-500+ on a knife.

Undoubtedly "razor sharp". Especially because most of the time when this description is used nothing could be further from the truth.

"sorry about the pictures they suck"
"sorry for the bad pictures"
If you know your pictures are a failure dont expose this fact so openly or take better pictures! ....no more picture modesty!

Any combination of the following words:

Awesome
Sweet
Rocks
Kicks ass

The penalty for using these words should be death, especially if combined with the word "dude."

maximus "Welcome to America, now learn (more) English" otter

Anything advertising "most used knife by Army, SWAT, Navy Seal, etc." It's a lie every time.(Although they might be good knives, TOPS, & MOD, are the ones that really come to mind of being guilty of this, how can they all be the most widley used, it's impossible.) And I agree, this thread was pretty cool.
