What's the most popular Spyderco? Asked by someone that never owned one.

For your uses and classic spyderco I'd say a delica 4 or if you dont want the hump go native or wait for the FRN native 5 to hit the shelves
 
I would say the delica, endura, military and paramilitary 2 are your real mainstays. Endura/delica are a little more budget oriented but are excellent knives. Millie and pm2 are awesome if you are willing to spend a bit more.

The delica is a great place to start!
 
Para 2.
I have 8 Spyderco folders now that my Sprint Stretch Blue Nishijin has arrived.
The most carried and used by far is the Para 2.

I second this. Delica is a classic, timeless model that everyone should probably have. And the PM2 is a newer hall of famer that everyone wants.

For the office, definitely a Delica. All stainless, it slides in and out of your pocket or waistband much smoother than FRN.
 
I would say for the office my Caly 3.5 with the ZDP-189 takes the award. Followed by PM-2. A large number of my fellow workers carry knives at work. We'd have a large number of ex-military. The Caly is easy on dress pant pockets.
 
I prefer minimal hump where possible. Bolded ones are in vogue, by my limited estimation.

Small folders without much hump: Caly 3, Techno, Gayle Bradley Air, Pingo
Small folders with hump: Dragonfly2, Delica, Lava, Dice flipper (coming soon)

Bigger folders without much hump: Native5, Southard flipper, Manix2, Caly 3.5
Bigger folders with hump: Military, ParaMilitary, ParaMilitary-2, Gayle Bradley, Domino flipper, Stretch, Endura

There are a bajillion other models.
