What's the most unusual alternative sharpening device/method you use?

Bottom of a coffee mug at a rental house and in the kitchen at work. It worked pretty good, too. It took knives that were as dull as sticks and made them able to slice and dice.

Wouldn't use this method on MY knives, of course . . but I figure I'm doing them a favor considering the state of their knives before my coffee mug trick.
