What's the most versatile slippie out there?

Slimline Trapper is light&offers a useful long blade.

Barlow because it can be a real beater when needed.

Stockman is tremendous because 3 blades and compact

Fact is, ALL old school pocket-knives are the ticket, just depends on your daily preference!

The slimline trapper is definitely on the list. The Stockman is about as heavy as I go for a pocket knife. I actually got rid of all of my two blade trappers because they are so big and heavy in the pocket. I think I started thinking about this because I rarely ever leave the house with just one knife. I usually have a very small knife for most chores and a medium size like the stockman for heavier cutting.

My vote goes to the whittler pattern, while admitting that the stockman is probably more useful...

Never had a trapper, going to have to get one.

Buck 303, I prefer the old 440 steels, but like the switch of the sheepsfoot to opposite the clip blade of the new models. Working up the skill and guts to switch some old ones that way for EDC...300$s
