I wouldn't pay any more for a first run production than I would one of the last ones in production. A production knife is a production knife whether it's the first or last off the line.

Haha that where I got mine from... I bought two, and it turns out they were both 1st prod. models... planning to sell one on ebay for 40 or so dollars! But i was amazed to see them for only 27 at knifeworks
