What's the most you've ever spend on knife in terms of a Week's Pay?

Hello, All.
Obviously some of us make way more money than others.
So I thought a fair question would be to ask:
How many weeks of pay was your most expensive knife?
or at least estimate.
I think the most I've ever spent was around 1 1/2 weeks worth.
How many weeks for you?

Why does never having spent a weeks pay on a single knife make me feel better?

How about a month?
Keep in mind that I earn my living in pesos and I buy knives at dollar price (almost 3X)

Back when I was a teenager most of my money went to buy knives. By the time I started college I had a part time job that payed $1.60 an hour and I worked around 15 hours a week. So I took home around $20 per week. When I bought my Gerber MkII combat knife I think it cost me around 3.5 weeks pay. In recent years I don't think that I have spent more than one days pay for a knife.

This question makes me feel alot better about my purchases since I have never spent more than even a days wage on a knife...that would be exciting to spend a couple weeks pay on a knife, but alas I am too cheap!

As I have, sadly, no income at the moment, the most I've spent is more than I'll ever earn in a day. Most of the time, I finance my knife purchases by selling off my other stuff.

If you take after tax income, the most I have spent is a little under 2 weeks pay. One of the knives I have on order will be about 7 weeks pay.

I saved up 3 months pay when I was starting out to buy my Bob Lum Grandmaster Darn Dao. That was almost 15 years ago, and I've never regretted it.

"Why does never having spent a weeks pay on a single knife make me feel better?"

I can really relate to this statment as I NEVER
spend anymore than I have to on anything. If I can
get it used for less (often way less)....I do.
That is how I've bought all my knives so far. :D

As much as I like knives, I would never spend a weeks pay on a knife.
Maybe a couple days pay or possibly three.

Well, I guess I would be amoung those who have spent a months salary on a single knife. I bought a TNT and work for minimum wage, you can do the math! But it was worth every penny, and every lousy night I spent working.:D

Not quite yet....but give me time. I'm getting close.

There are quite a few knives out there that I would like, that would set me back considerably over a weeks pay.

As a child mowing lawns and saving allowance I probably saved for one month between most purchases. These days I am blessed to be able to buy them at a much more rapid pace, most setting me back one or two days pay, which means I can buy 3-4 per week! Ain't it great?:)

Less than two days pay............that is for my current job. If I want back 18 years then I would have to say about 8 days pay.

About 3 hours for the Charlie Porter D2 fighter I got this summer.

Now, the Cold Steel SRK second I got in college set me back a whopping $30, but that was when $20 lasted me a week. Of course they don't pay you in college, so I can't really put that in days pay :)
