Other than the fact that I don't actually have my knife from Adam yet, the next one other than that is a spear point bowie with fullers, pattern welded guard and fittings, mammoth ivory handle with pattern welded escutcheon, 11-12 inch L-6 blade, and sheath with nickel silver throat and tip. This one will be by Russ Andrews. It was going to be coming just after Blade, but Russ has had to take it a little easy due to health reason, so it won't be coming until fall. What do you want to bet that it's really nice?

The next one will be by Rodrigo Sfreddo. It will be a clippoint bowie with wolfteeth pattern damascus, a buffalo handle with a C-guard and fittings also from damascus. A black leather sheath with shark skin inlay and a damascus frog. Overall about 15 inches. It will be in my hands before Blade, at least that is what Rodrigo promised me:D . I can hardly wait and the pics will follow in due time.

Next up for me is a display box for my Schneider De Santis fighter.

Other than that, I've got a few knives that I've expressed interest in, but none of them have any sort of ETA.

The next one will be a nice slim gent's folder by Bailey Bradshaw. It's an older knife of his that I bought from a good friend and then sent to Bailey for some of his fine engraving. It will replace my Whitewing folder as my "office knife".

Roger

(Thought I was going to say a bowie, didn't you? :p )

A Jim Moyer Mosaic sidekick... horizontal crossdraw.
The sheath is just about dry so I should have it here by next weekend...

Another Burt Foster knife!

Going to do Bowie of some sort. Just have to work out the details with Burt. Looks like the end of year on this one.

Southwest Bowie from Jerry Lairson.Carbon(of course)ironwood coffin handle.

The next to arrive should be a custom Bark River Teddy Hunter; sambar stag with some turquoise. Ariel Salaverria & Ruben Calo have agreed to work on a fixed blade & folder collaboration for me which I'm excited about.

I don't know which one is next for me, I have several on order. But from the sounds of it, my next order from a maker to be filled will be a bali from Charles Marlowe, a liner lock from Gerry McGinnis, a framelock from Mike Obenauf, or a bali from Todd Begg. Not sure which one is coming first, but I'm looking forward to all of them :)

As far as secondary market stuff goes, I just traded for a Dobruski Blade Runner bali. Can't wait to see it!

Harvey Dean is finishing up one for me, he brought it to the ECCKS for some petting but it went back to his shop for finishing..Its his Huckleberry pattern done with Bark Elephant Ivory and gold pins..this piece will have a nickel silver scabard
it's about ready for a trip to Steve Dunn for some engraving.

I Have a piece From Ron Newton that Ron Thinks he may get to this summer..its a pattern from the Sheffield Exhibition knives..called a Teexas Sportsman..5 1/2 inch spearpoint bowie with a corkscrew tweazers and slipjoint secondary blade..Stag for this pup.

Don Hanson will be doing a Sunfish Slipjoint in Ivory with Gold pins blade will be W2 this will be nice company for my slim trapper.

I have many irons in the fire so you never know when the phone will ring

Art Washburn(Beowulf the Geat on the Forums) will have a white MOP #5 with ladder pattern Devin Thomas stainless damascus blade and bolsters for me.

Bill Ruple should have a Trapper with wharncliff/clip point blades.

Other than that, I have no idea what the show holds for me.

I have orders in with Nick Wheeler, Mike Ruth, Burt Foster and John W. Smith. This should be a much "leaner" year than last year, but still a good one.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Let's see...
- I have had a spot on Kevin Cashen's list for 3+ years, so hopefully my turn will come soon and I'll ask for a sword, details TBD.
- I have an integral bolster Med' bowie in order with Nick Wheeler (for 3+ years... :) ).
- I have an integral campknife in order with Burt Foster
- I have an order with Bailey Bradshaw for a rendition of a traditional Mughal Dagger called a Khanjar, possibly with the traditional horse head carved handle. It will have a 1095 blade with a wootz-like finish.

I think that's it.

Russ Andrews 12" bowie with damascus fittings and Amboyna handle

Fisk "Arkansas Camp knife" with maple and wrought iron fittings.

I am also expecting a 13" Jason Knight Damascus Southwest sometime this spring

Depending on which one gets here first;a Mick Langley 10in. bowie(See gallery) & a J. Neilson Cocabolo Coffin handled Bowie(See knifemakers for sale area-fixed)

You people are expecting some very nice knives.

As far as anthony's knives go, the Andrews shouldn't be over the $1000.00 mark and the Knight will be close. The Fisk on the other hand is going to be a fair bit over that amount, but Anthony did say that he doesn't always stick to the $1000.00 limit.

RAN, that Harvey Dean sounds like it is going to be something. A knife by Dean, engraved by Dunn; wow. You are also getting one of Don's signature pieces. That will be very cool.

Yes Roger, I did kind of think it would be a bowie, but I do realize that you have a broader taste than that.

Joss, that Kandjar sounds like an impressive project. You of course will have to give us a good look at the finished product.

Kirby Lambert Inferno; about 2 months out

Chris Smith flipper folder: about three months out

Scott Cook Lochsa; about 19 months out.

So I guess it will be close between the Inferno and the Chris Smith. Really looking forward to seeing how they all come out, but I think I am most anxious to see the Lochsa.

Hi Anthony,

So much for not spending more than $1,000 for a knife.

WWG

Remember what happens when you ASSuME!

The only one that breaks the $$ barrier was the Knight and that was a trade deal....
