What's the next knife you have coming?

Wow! There are going to be some happy knife knuts when all the blades mentioned in this thread are delivered.
After about a year, I have a little John Parks due in June. There is Geno Denning scheduled for December delivery and I completed the initial contact stages of scheming for another from Mr. Tomes.

The only think I've actually got on order is an SOF-A2 from Charles Marlowe that's expected around Christmas time.

Of course, the Solvang show is at the end of the month and who knows what I might find there. I'm going with the intent of buying nothing as I really need to make my next knife related purchase a heat treat oven for the shop, but it's possible that I might coome across something I can't live without. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a John Smith that I saw there last year.

I don't know which is next!! It depends on how quickly I can get the money. (Which should be quickly now that I am gainfully employed!!! And I start on 4/3) I have 2 DDR's on order: 1. AXD-NG 2. Gunhammer MT. And I have an XM-18 coming. It was orginally going to be a Spark when I sent in money. I am so diggin' the XM-18. So, who knows!! I DO know that it won't be the Scott Cook Lochsa I have on order, as that is a 2 year wait, and I only ordered it Jan. 06.

Joss, that Kandjar sounds like an impressive project. You of course will have to give us a good look at the finished product.

The Mughals had amazing mastery of some edged crafts. The Khanjar has one of the most graceful shape ever created, IMHO:

Here's a very traditional, high end Khanjar:

And here are examples of historical, hi-end handles:

Jade was traditional for the super hi-end pieces, like those, but ivory is found sometimes. Here's an example of an historical handles with a moder blade:

Of course, I was very clear with Bailey didn't have to make a historical copy. I am mostly looking for the right shape and proportions..

The next 1 I should be receiving is.
A pocket carry from Fred Rowe with OAL about 5". It will be a suprise as to what it looks like, as he is a friend I gave him a few specifics & gave him a free hand.
It'll be awhile.

My next "knife" is going to be a Colt Cobra .38;) I'm not currently on anyones's list, but I have a few projects in mind for my go to guy... Craig Camerer. As soon as my financial situation improves, I've got a "personal" bowie in mind, a "boot knife" in mind, and probably a big honkin' Danbo kind of bowie.

Hopefully, my next knives will be a pair of full integrals from Dittmar Kressler. Other than that it's off to Solvang to find something nice. I've got a lot of customs on order, just no idea when they'll arrive.

I am hoping to pick up a Denning Sub-Hilt at the Blade show in June. I bought the mastodon for it last year at the show and Geno has told me he expects to be able to deliver this year. :)

Waiting in line: a small dagger from Wolfgang Lörchner; a lockback from Kit Carson; an integral from Josef Rusnak; and a really small slipjoint from Bud Weston (I have a standing order with Bud to deliver a little knife to me every time I see him).

Well, I'm waiting on a few customs--so I'll see who finishes first.

Right now I'm betting on Chuck Gedraitis, who is hopefully making my custom balisong right as we speak......;)

I'm looking forward to a bowie by Kevin Cashen in the near future, I'll post when I get it. :D

Should be seeing my Darrell Ralph Gunhammer here in a month or two hopefully.

Joss, I really like the looks of the Kandjar style of knife.

I should have a Tony Bose ivory "back pocket" soon :D and a Mark Holson Bowie.

My next one is another from Gene Martin. This one willl be a 5 inch deep belly utility knife. Ivory slabs, thick blade and tang, Carbon steel with multiple temper lines. Steven

The next knife coming home is my first Mastersmith knife : a Jerry Lairson Cutting Competition knife with Black Textured Micarta Handle...
Hope to receive it soon...
I will also buy an other Fred Perrin knife soon (don't know if it will be a Griffe, a Shark or an other Street Bowie...)

Well, I've discovered that one of the knives I want is going to be started soon. I better start saving my pennies!

P.S. Anyone need a kidney?

I can't wait until the spring turkey season in Missouri. Should have an 8-inch bowie fresh out of Sunfish Forge around that time. Looking forward to the season, Don!
