I'm just wondering what the ONE knife that you know you will pass down to your kin or another family member? Just that one special knife that you always think of passing down. If the knife happens to have a story behind it and you feel like sharing please do.

For me it will probably be a Yellow Handle Case Tracker, my Daddy had one and I remember always asking him to use it. There was just something about Dads Yellow knife that I loved. Unfortunatly Dad lost it or misplaced it a few years back, hope he finds it someday. If he doesn't I'm going to buy one and try my best not to be like Dad and keep my eye on it.

This knife is so freaking neat looking! It's a real beauty. I plan on buying a couple Randalls, one for the shelf, one for use, some time from now, those will be passed on too. Also, any customs I get, I have only one custom right now, and while it is pretty, it is definitely a shelf piece. But, for right now, if I had to choose one, it would be my Buck 110 stag damascus custom folder. I'll post an image when my 'puter gets fixed.

I'm going to have all my knives melted into a blob and dumped in the ocean. If I can't have them...

MOP P10 William Henry Lancet, and the custom Dozier, and Crawford and, Nealys, all my autos, all my slipjoints/traditionals, in short my knives are willed out already, maybe I'll will my passaround knives,(the ones I've won or bought) to the forums never ending passaround.

2 knives...Benchmade 805 TSEK and Cold Steel "new-style" Tanto...Both have been customized by me...Those 2 are going to my son.

Whichever one's happen to be in my pocket and in my closet at the time of my passing.

Ya'll know me, and any knife I put down today could change by tomorrow!! :D :D

If it's still around it will be my Buck 110. I've had it for about 40 years and it is by far my oldest knife. That knife is very special to me.

My Ek 3 and 5 (They'll still be in my closet when I die) and Calypso Jr if I havent used it to death and w/e is state of the art in 70yrs

All the knives i got from my dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. And I'll throw in a few of my favorite purchases. My son is not yet 4 and i've already given him the first pocket knife i bought when i was 8 or 9. Don't worry, it's dull as butter and only comes out under close supervision.

If I ever get married and have kids.... Busse Combat Arctic Team with black raptor scales. I spent 7 days with virtually no sleep, eyes burning, people complaining, battling, making life long friendships and even getting shot... That one is the greatest.

Uncle Mofo...That one is going in the ground with me :D

About 50 of them...

I'd like to be buried with a Busse also... just in case it turns out I'm not really dead yet. :D

LOL@Bob W and Lone Hunter!!

I don't have them yet, but I ordered a lefty/righty Bagwell Helle's Belle set.

so one of them gets handed down, depending of whether my child is lefty or righty.

the rest gets melted into the same blob as Bob W's

if i ever get around to having kids, i'll pass on my Schrade melon tester (my grandfather used it to test fruit coming across the US/Mex border; it was issued to him in the 50s).

D$#N! Just one?

I guess it would be my grandfather's Congress pattern slip joint. He used to sit on the porch and whittle with it.

(If it were two, my first knife, an Imperial Boy Scout knife, would be # 2.)
