What's the ONE knife you will pass on?

The "Legacy" custom-engraved Buck110 that I gave to my father....he's already told me when he gets older it's coming to me and then to my son (all of whom have "Daniel" in their name...hence the legacy)

right now since i am in college i can't afford to collect knives. yes i buy some but mostly to use. i will for sure pass on my Mayo TNT. its the only knife that is actually worth something. Most of the knives i buy are for my dad. Mostly case knives. Hard to pass up the basic traditional knife. I buy him 3 or 4 a year. Eventually i will get them and then pass them down

This has taken some thought.

Answer: Whatever LM I happen to be fond of at the time. My first was the "old" Wave, and it tought me how nice it is to have a knife among other tools, on you. And it never made me go mall ninja crazy.

Just a lesson to whoever deserves it.

Well, I guess that I'll pass 'em all on, since I have no intention of parting with them while I still breathing.

Since I have lovely twin daughters, do I get two special knives to pass down?

How about my pearl/mokume/damascus by Joe Kious to one girl, and my Ed Schempp mini-Kris (see Blade a couple of moths ago) to the other girl?
:D

Well working on the second child , so not sure exactly how I'll answer that. Since my son was born last year, I've put aside a few knives just for him for special occassions as he gets older: 1) SAK - Climber 2) Kershaw Double Duty 3) a rosewood Le Camarguais and 4) a buffalo horn, Buck 110.

I guess, he'll get my fingergroved ironwood Buck 110 and my other child (when he or she arrives) would get buffalo horn Le Camarguais. I guess I would then split the rest of the knives be split amongst the two of them ask them to share with my nephews.

Easy daughter one has claimed my press button knife co. one armed mans knife. Daughter 2 has claimed my custom picklock :D

I know it was not built to use like most of the ones mentioned but for me it is going to be my Harley Davidson 100th anniversary "Founders" knife. Number 1723 of 2003. It represents both of my passions.
