So i eventually got one from ebay for the shocking price of $177 total once delivered as im in the UK but at least i got one.
Anyway its sat in a box for two weeks as ive still to sort out the handles and sheath.
For those that have put theres to some use whats the opinion so far?.
Do they hold up to real hard use any broken tips as it is real thin or chipping etc?.
Anyone had any problems except rusting?.
How would you rate it against say scrap yard knifes for overall toughness?.

mule vs scrapyard = apples and oranges

the mule is pretty thin stock, and cuts like no tomorrow. Edge holding on mine has been excellent, with great ergos thanks to Raythebigfoot.

My scrapyards are all pretty thick, and while sharp, not the best slicers in the world.

$177 sucks, but that's only like what, 80 pounds?

Yeah £80 roughly so i still dont class it as beign robbed as knife prices in general are crazy in the UK.
To give you an idea i sold a Sog Tomcat 3 for $230 roughly on ebay. And we always pay tax and postage fees when buying abroad so you always have to add that on anyway.
How gutted i was today when i seen mule seconds on the forum $38 plus $25 shipping and because its exactly £18 i wouldnt have even paid tax or handling fees guess thats just life.
Still i love the mule its perfect except now i need to get handles and a sheath.
Good to hear it holds a edge well im just a bit worried about the tip even though its tough steel i just get the feeling its gonna break if pushed a bit too hard as you said its so thin.
I hope it can take a bashing at least although i wont be breaking concreate or using it as a pry bar.
