Greetings, I am looking for the perfect concealment fixed blade. I have looked at the Spyderco Temperance, and the Spyderco Bill Moran. I want to stay under $150.00. I would welcome any recomendations. Thanks

You looking for cost effective ? (cheap) :D but still a decent knife.
CRKT makes a number of small knives perfect for concealment.

TheKnifeCollector My Tom Krein TK-2 does duty as a pocket fixed blade. As does my Nemesis Knives Arch Ally: http://www.nemesis-knives.com/arch.html

Speaking of Mr. Krein his CRKT is out or will be out soon and meets your criteria, there is also the fixed Falcon and Ryan PlanB.

Also , there are some makers on here offering some nice small sized blades for under or around that price ($150) , check out the makers section.

Rule 1) The knife can't be too big. 3 1/2" blade or less, IMO, for good concealment.
Rule 2-10) Have a good sheath.

Of course a neck knife is ultimate concealment but not easy to get to when needed in a hurry and people get tired of wearing them. I prefer a horizontal cross-draw and have been carrying on for many months not. The knife I carry is a Bob Dozier Arkansas Traveler so it more than $150. He's also doing some mods that I came up with on one of his other knives.

The belt clip must be tight against the sheath and the near the middle of the handle. This will help keep the knife close into the body. For that reason, I'm not a big Tek-Lok fan. They stick out too much. OK for camping or hiking but not concealment. See post #17 on the following link for a pic of my carry setup.

So, find yourself a knife you like such as the Bark River Souther Skinner (I have one...nice knife).

Then send it off to Bob Dozier and ask for the a "type A" sheath made for it. You can check his web site.

Bob also make a very nice "in the waste band" sheath, if you prefer. Some also carry "in the pocket" sheaths for FB but I prefer the one in my picture.

As a side note, I also recommend this knife. http://newgraham.com/detail.aspx?ID=5522
The sheath setup sucks but the knife it awesome for its size. As you might expect, I sent it to Bob Dozier to get one of his sheaths made for it. Incredible grip, good steel, black blade, very strong, only 3" but seems much larger.

But don't for get Rules 2-10....it's the sheath that really counts so be willing to spend the money to get a good one.

This sheath is like Bob's but I think the knife is a bit big. Your choice.http://www.knifeworks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=8327

Any pics of the way you carry?

Listen to BladePrince -- the man is right on with all he said...

I have two fixed carry knives -- a Dozier 3" and an Ontario Rat3, both in D2...

Dozier sheath better, but mine broke early on and is now attached to belt with very thin tie-wraps (black) -- works fine, real tight to belt...

Both knives needed to be reprofiled then sharpened to complete the package. Takes a bit of time with D2, even with a DMT 8XX...

Dead

PSST: Best bang -- Rat3 for under $100 with good shealth...
Dozier will be over $200, but it's a Dozier...

Send your sheath to Bob. They will be glad to fix it. No need to not have a good working sheath for your Dozier knife...:D

Bob Dozier's horizontal mounted kydex sheaths are the best I've ever used for easily concealed tactical ready to whip out performance knives. When it comes to small fixed blades I'd look no further than one of his horizontal sheaths for concealed carry options.

If you like the SpyderCo designs look at the FB04 Perrin or the new one SPFB15P.
I don't know anything about the newer of the two but I bought a FB04 years ago and still carry it around once in awhile. It's a bit long in the blade at 5" but you can carry it horizontal and it weighs next to nothing. My sheath seams to be a bit retention challanged but I still like it.
If the SPFB15P has the feel of the FB04 I think it would be a sweet fixed blade to carry but they may be a bit out of the price range.

Just a thought

While I love my RAT-3, and was wearing it around the neck today, for under $150 my vote goes for the Benchmade 210TK Snody. $100 even on the internet and a beautiful knife that comes ready to wear from your neck. You'd have to buy an aftermarket sheath for belt, boot, or underarm carry.

I'd also suggest the Spydie StreetBeat. 7 & 3/16 OAL, micarta handles, vg-10 and Perrin design. Designed in part for u/c LEO carry.
Will have to order a sheath from River City though... the kydex that comes with it isnt the greatest.

3-4" is not the longest you can conceal. I have carried my Busse SJ Tac inverted in Okuden Kydex, and it conceals easily, is comfortable, and faster than cross draw, since the hand is normally only inches away- no reaching. This is only safe and practical with an excellent kydex sheath, however.

to be a great concealment fixed blade requires a great knife AND a great sheath, for me bud nealy makes the stuff that conceals best, carries the best, and is a lot of knife also, i like his MASS system, his MCS system doesnt fit my needs very well, but the MASS really works well, i like the amoeba the best, its abbreviated handle makes it carry better than any other FB i have tried, the pesh kebz is also a good one, my 5" M2 pesh kebz carries better than many 3" or 4" blades i have tried, al polkawski also makes some good knife/sheath combos, one of which i have, the companion, its also a good one, for cheaper stuff the MOD razorback is a good one too, it too carries very well, for the lowest amount of $$/best FB & sheath get a CRKT companion, and then get a custom kydex sheath for it (rather than 1 decent sheath CRKT supplies 2 crappy ones lol) and for about $50 ya have a very good, very concealable FB.

personally, i rarely pack a FB, always a folder though, but since i also usually pack a kahr PM9 i just dont feel i usually need the added aggravation of having to deal with a FB too, and it is more hassle to carry a FB vs a folder, the folder is virtually no hassle at all while a FB is always gonna be kind of a PITA to deal with on a edc basis, no matter how good the sheath/knife combo is designed, a poorly designed one will drive ya nutz and make ya quit packing it.

but i do occasionally carry one, usually in the winter months, or in the summer when biking when i usually dont pack a PM9.
