what's the quintessential Emerson Folder?

Looking for an Emerson to add to my collection. This will be a light user (I don't really abuse any of my knives) and weekend carry, no requirements/restrictions on blade length.

In my growing collection, I somehow managed to gravitate towards the knives that sort of encapsulate the personality of the brand. For example:
- CRK: Sebenza
- Spyderco: Paramilitary
- Hinderer: XM-18 (well...not like Rick offers a whole heck of a lot of variety here)
- Benchmade: 940 Osbourne

With Emerson, they are are all...tactical. I think I sort of narrowed it down to the following:
- Combat Systems Fighter
- Commander
- CQC-7

What in your opinion is that quintessential Emerson folder that best represents the Brand?

CQC14 full size handle non attention getter and gets the job done! Let me add beefy blade easy to maintain and sharpen to razor edge. MG]

As much of a Commander fan that I am, I'm going to have to say the CQC-7 would be the quintessential Emerson production folder, custom would have to be the CQC-6.

You can go back to the Benchmade days and their version of the CQC-7, before EKI was ever formed. That one design IMHO is what made Emerson a household name in the knife world.

Commander, CQC-7, CQC-8, A-100. Any one of those is iconic within the brand. Commander is my favorite.

Thanks for all the responses!

CQC-7BW it is! Now to eagerly wait its arrival from MonkeyEdge.

Girlfriend: "Hey...wait, is that a new knife?!?"
Me: "No. No...always had this one."

Like everyone else, the commander or 7 variant.
Although I sold those two and kept an 8.

A CQC-7 or Commander variant for sure. Or you could get the best of both worlds and get a CQC-15

I'm actually bucking the trend: I'd select a Roadhouse. It's got a grip my hand likes, a tanto point, V-primary grind, and is just dead sexy.

The 7 kicked in the door, the 8 made first entry, the commander and the 10 were the rest of the entry team. The Persian and SOCFK were on overwatch. Obviously the early customs trained them up but Emersons dynamic entry into the market was definitely started by the 7. Everything after just solidified the position.
